Japan Warehouse

No. Due to strict customs requirements, the Japan warehouse cannot receive packages outside Japan. If they arrive, we will refuse to accept them.
Unfortunately, we do not accept local pick-up and drop-off at the Japan warehouse.
Countries that can use the Japan warehouse are as follows: Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, USA, UK, Vietnam, and EU Countries (27 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden)
There are 3 types of Japanese alphabets: Kanji (漢字), Hiragana (ひらがな), and Katakana (カタカナ). Depending on the store, you may need to enter your information in multiple ways, such as Kanji, Hiragana, or Katakana. You can find the address in Kanji on the 'Copy My Address' from 'My Warehouse Address'

Please enter Last Name then First Name in the name fields when you see 「お名前」,「名まえ」「ご氏名」,「氏名」,「姓名」,「フルネーム」

If you don't know Hiragana or Katakana, please use a Hiragana or Katakana conversion tool to find your name in the appropriate alphabet.

*To match the registered account name with the name on the received package, please enter the name in Roman letters. If you enter the name in Japanese (ひらがな, カタカナ, or 漢字), please add it in the Additional Names section under the Account Settings.
Currently, we do not accept assisted purchase requests.
Make sure you know the store’s return policy. Some stores will pay for the return shipping charge. Others will require you to pay for the shipping. Visit the store website or contact them to see their "returning a package" instructions.

Shipito Return Process: If The Store Gives You A Pre-Paid Shipping Label

Find the package/s you wish to return and select "Additional Services" on the right side of the package. You will get a pop-up window with all of the services we provide, you'll want to select "Other Instructions" as shown below.

  • On the instruction box, please provide more information about your request. As an example, I'm attached the return label. I would like to return the package back to the seller.
  • Pre-paid return labels are only available from Sagawa Express.

Please Note:You are not allowed to arrange pickups with the carrier.  If you do not have a prepaid label then shipping costs will replace the charges for Special Request and Manual Mail out. You will simply add the return address to your address book and process the package as a normal shipment. We only offer Sagawa for Japan Shipments. The cost to return a package is as follows:

For packages being shipped to China, the carrier may ask you to submit your ID as it may be necessary for customs clearance.
Depending on your country or region, importing alcohol may be restricted/prohibited. Additional documents, such as a power of attorney, may be required at your destination country. An EORI number may be required in the EU.
Please confirm with the local carrier whether shipping is possible before purchasing.

If shipping is possible, please refer to the following procedure:
  1. Check "Alcohol" in the customs declaration form. In the "Item Name" section, please include the alcohol content, volume, and the type of alcohol. Please enter the quantity corresponding to the number of cans.(e.g. Item (Beer, 500ml, 5.5%) Quantity: 2)
  2. Please request packaging for alcoholic beverages under "Other Instructions".

Food products shipped from Japan may take a long time to clear customs. The destination country may inspect, return, and confiscate them. The customer will bear any additional costs. To avoid this, we strongly recommend inquiring with the local carrier in advance.

It may require prior import notification to the FDA when shipped via DHL to the USA.

To Australia, we offer UPS and DHL shipping. Please consult with local UPS/DHL services beforehand. You can check the import conditions on the following website. https://bicon.agriculture.gov.au/
The warehouse is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese national holidays, and during the New Year's holidays (December 29 - January 3).
Depending on the item's contents, we may need to confirm whether it can be loaded onto an airplane. Therefore, we may request that you obtain safety data sheets (SDS/MSDS) and any other necessary certificates from the manufacturer.

Food Products - Japan Warehouse: Food products shipped from Japan may be subject to inspection and confiscation by the destination country at the importer’s expense. Please consult with local UPS/DHL services beforehand. These items are prohibited via Shipito Asia Direct.
